Incredibly soft and drapey, this fingering-weight blend of 70% alpaca, 20% silk and 10% cashmere makes for perfect warm accessories or fine garments. It is particularly suited to lace as the drape and sheen of alpaca and silk hold and display open stitches beautifully.
Dyed with plants collected around my neighbourhood in Glasgow, food waste and sustainably-produced raw plant material and dye extracts, these soft shades are light-fast but, like all natural dyes, may change and develop over time, a quality valued by many dye cultures.
This particular shade was dyed with buckthorn berries and logwood and is a deep brassy olive.
